The Bull Trout Task Force, a contingent of the Mid-Columbia Fishery, gathered at the Tieton River on Wednesday night to identify and take record of various fish species in its South Fork. Forthcoming to its name, the Task Force seeks to re-enliven the Washington Bull Trout population through field study and collaboration with local entities. With conservation in mind, our team spent 4 hours snorkeling (yes, crawling along the river with a flashlight, dry suit, and snorkel gear) and identifying/measuring samples of
Cutthroat Trout , Bull Trout, Sculpin, and White Fish. What a night! Exciting to be part of such an admirable effort.
